Uriel Grimaldo Cruz is the Digital Illustrator and Designer behind Black Collar Illustration. Uriel is originally from Mexico, but lives in Columbus, Ohio and has been working in visual arts since 2017.

1. Laborers who generally deal with dirty and dusty workload like mining and drilling. However, the term “black collar” is sometimes associated with illegal professions or monkey business.
2. A term which morphed and now refers to creative types (artists, graphic designers, video producers) who have made black attire their unofficial uniform.
